2024-25 Competitive Program Description
2024-2025 Season Volunteer Requirement
Woodland Soccer Club began volunteer obligations during the 2023-24 season. Woodland Soccer Club plans to organize multiple events and tournaments over the 24-25 soccer season, and in order to maximize our capabilities, each family is required to perform six (6) volunteer work hours per registered player. For 2024-25 there will be a $100 volunteer deposit added to all competitive team registrations. Families that fulfill their six (6) volunteer hours per player, will be eligible to have their $100 volunteer deposit refunded as an adjustment to their invoice. To be eligible for the refund, the family must fulfill their full volunteer obligations, as outlined in this section. No exceptions. Families may elect to not fulfill their volunteer hours. That simply means their volunteer fee will not be refunded. All authorized refunds pursuant to this section will take place by June 15, 2025.
2024-25 Financial Aid
The Club has limited financial resources available for those who need aid with club dues. The player seeking financial aid must first be registered with registration fees paid in full, AND the financial aid form must be completed and submitted no later than June 15, 2024, to be considered for financial aid. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis, and all decisions are in the sole discretion of the Club. All families receiving financial aid (partial or full) will be asked to contribute volunteer time to the club at team functions and fundraisers.
Those who receive public assistance (ex., free/reduced school lunch, food stamps, or similar programs) receive first priority for aid; please make sure you attach current proof of receiving assistance. You must also submit a copy of your most recent tax returns. Financial Aid decisions will be made by the end of June. If you do not receive notification that financial aid has been granted by July 1, please contact the Board; if you are not contacted that aid is available, you still owe all applicable club and team fees.
All players, directly or through others, must pay all team discretionary fees, including tournament fees, coach’s travel expenses to tournaments, state registration and referee fees, tournament fees, indoor season or practice facility rentals, and other items deemed necessary by the Team Coach.
A player who receives financial assistance and leaves before the seasonal year is complete must pay back any financial assistance before transfer/release paperwork will be signed.
